Living in modern day California is no easy task, living in modern day California as a stray dog is a whole nother story. In order to survive you are going to have to do the unthinkable and form unbreakable bonds, are you up to the challenge?

Welcome to Vita, we are a semi literate stray dog role play that is based out of modern day northern California. We are currently based on a stray, fend for yourself system, but in the future as we gain more members we hope to form a number of packs. We currently have a 200 word minimum, and our posts can contain mature content such as swearing or fighting. We recommend you check out our rules before joining and look forward to you becoming one of us!

The Rules

General

• Word Count; The word count for Vitas is 200 words, we are a semi literature mature role play and feel as if 200 words shouldn't be difficult to write. We are always open to new role players, but prefer you to be a strong writer or enjoy writing.

• Grammar; We love proper grammar, and we strongly encourage you to use the efficient tool called spell check.

• Cursing; Cursing is allowed, this is a mature site. If you can't handle it, don't agree with it, or are against it we'd recommend finding a different role play.

• Fighting; The general rule of the thumb applies, treat others how you want to be treated. I am a strong believer in respect of yourself and others, and fighting is one thing I do not put up with. If you have a problem with another member you can either take it up in PM's or PM me directly and I will handle the situation.

• Character Limit; During your first wing at Vita we allow you to have one character, but after you first week you can have as many characters as you like. We just require you to be able to keep up and RP all of these characters. Remember, don't make a character if you don't have time to RP him/her.

• Accounts; You are allowed one account, that is all. We like to keep things simple.

• Liquid Time; Liquid time is allowed and encouraged. Just make sure it doesn't get out of hand. You can be in as many posts as you like, but don't get involved in or make a thread if you won't have time to keep up with it or reply to it.

Characters

• Character Age; We do not allow you to create a character under 2 years of age unless the character is birthed or you buy a pass from the market to allow a younger character.

• Breeds; Currently any DOMESTIC canine breed is allowed, NO Wolves, Coyotes, African Wild Dogs, etc. We strongly encourage mixed breeds.

• Banned Breeds; If a breed becomes too popular we may ban creations of this breed for a certain period of time.

• Realism; Remember this is a realistic role play, no purple eyes or pink fur. Realistic eye colors, breeds, and physical appearance.

Breeding

• Litters; Litters vary depending on the size of the dam. For example: Small = 1-3 Medium = 3-5 Pups Large = 5-7 Extra Large = 7-9. After a breeding takes place you can post on the "New Life" board and the stork account will reply shortly. The stork account is responsible for the number of pups, gender, and physical appearance. The stork only determines these things, it is up to you to determine personalities. You do have the option to keep all of the puppies, but we usually recommend (depending on litter size) to give some to friends, put up for adoption, or sell for bones. You must make sure the staff knows who the puppies are going to though, just to keep things organized. Remember, there are special passes you can buy at the market that affect your litter.

• Mating and Birthing; When your characters actually breed, there must be a thread that pertains to this happening. We do NOT allow graphic mating here, we just encourage you to have a thread showing the two characters having chemistry, hanging out, flirting, whatever it may be. As for birthing, once the stork has "delievered" your puppies you must make a post of the birth of your pups. Once again we do NOT allow graphic birthing.

• Force Breeding; We do allow force breeding as long as it is okay-ed by both players. Once again we do NOT allow graphic breeding of this, but a post must be made pertaining to the event.

Fighting

• Power Playing; During a fight, you must be taking turns. We do not allow power playing and no character is invincible. Before anyone posts, one member must PM the admin for them to start the post.

• Turns; You will get four attacks and dodges, once you and the other player have used all four attacks and dodges and staff member will post the winner, unless a winner is decided between the two players and is okay with both players.

• Basic Rules; No killing of any character unless it is okay with both players. We encourage you to be realistic and lose some blood, but we do NOT allow super graphic and gruesome posts. You can keep it mature, but there is a limit on how graphic you can be. Remember, dogs don't usually fight for "no reason", so please try to show a reason in a post or previous post as to why these characters are fighting.
